Poirmento
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
You are famous Luxembourgish detective, Poirmento. You've gathered all the suspects in the library and are just about to reveal who the dastardly murderer is, when you suffer a sudden bout of memory loss!
Help Poirmento figure out who everyone is, what happened and who committed the crime, all without letting on that you have no idea what the last three days held.
The game provides two play modes, a consequence free "Story mode", which allows you to experiment as you please, and a "Challenge mode", in which certain actions may cause other characters to become suspicious that you don't actually have a clue what's going on. Act too suspiciously and you'll be kicked off the case!

I think I've come across a bug (on Mac) where interacting with some but not all things on screen stops working, i.e. trying to talk to people on the left side of the screen does nothing (although Poirmento does move to the right location). Is there a way to work around this, or stop it from happening? I only started playing the game yesterday, so I have no idea how rare or common it is yet.
Apart from that though, having a great time!
Hi! I'm sorry you've run into problems, unfortunately no-one has reported this before, so I'm afraid I don't have a quick answer for you. A couple of things that it might be worth trying:
* Reading items like your notebook, letters, etc. changes the state of what can be interacted with, it might be worth trying to reread anything you have in your inventory by right clicking on it to see if that unsticks something
* Try saving your game, quitting and reloading.
* If you have any window management extensions running on your Mac (like Magnet) try disabling them to see if they might be interacting with it in a strange way.
Unfortunately I'm away from home for the next week, so I won't be in a position to try and reproduce it for a little while, but if you can think of anything you did immediately before you noticed the problem it'd be very helpful to me when debugging it.
Thanks,
Mike
No worries, I was mainly wondering if it was a known thing. I'll try reading stuff, quitting stuff, and generally keep an eye out for how often it actually happens. Thanks a lot for a fun game and quick reply!
Thanks!
I wonder if multiple monitors could have caused the confusion. In any case, I just played through on my laptop on the couch, and had a great bug-free time all the way through. Wonderful work, long live short and sweet mysteries!
Brilliant, glad you enjoyed it!
I am stuck and cant figure out how to get the confession T-T
I believe in you! You'll figure it out!
